Workday Inc. Is a company that makes software for businesses. They are really good at helping companies manage their employees and money. Now they are making a change at the top. Carl Eschenbach is leaving his job as the boss of Workday, Inc. The person who started the company with him Aneel Bhusri is coming back to be, in charge of Workday, Inc. Again. This change is happening now. Aneel Bhusri is taking over as the boss of Workday, Inc.. He will be leading the company from now on. Workday, Inc. Is getting a leader and it is Aneel Bhusri.

Workday is making some changes and Eschenbach is leaving his current job. This is happening at a time when Workday is trying to figure out what it wants to do. The company let some people go 2 percent of the people who work there. They are trying to make things more simple and focus on the things that’re most important, like artificial intelligence.

Eschenbach will still work with Workday. In a different role he will be a strategic advisor. He will help Workday and Bhusri will take his job as the top person, in charge.

Bhusri is a business leader from America and India. He is also one of the people who started Workday. Bhusri was the CEO of Workday times since the company started in 2005. Recently he was the chair. Now Bhusri is becoming the CEO of Workday again. This is happening because Workday is going through a change. The people in charge of Workday say this is an important time for the company. This big change is happening because of developments in Artificial Intelligence and competition in the software business, for big companies. Bhusri and Workday are working to deal with these changes.

Workdays board talked about how much Bhusri cares about the companys culture, vision and long term mission. They want Workday to be a leader in the world of artificial intelligence. Mark Hawkins, who is the vice chair and lead director at Workday said that Bhusri is the right person to lead the company. He thinks Bhusri will help Workday keep being a leader in a world that is always changing. They also thanked Eschenbach for helping Workday become a company with a stronger presence around the world and, for making sure everything runs smoothly.

The change in leadership at Workday is already having an effect on markets. When people heard that Workday was getting a CEO the price of Workday shares went down. This happened because people are worried about what Workday’s doing and if they are focusing enough on artificial intelligence. The price of Workday shares was lower at the start of trading after the news came out. Some people who watch the company are waiting to see if the new CEO will make investors feel better, about Workday and if this will help Workday do better in the future. Workday needs to do so they can keep growing.

Bhusri’s return underscores a renewed emphasis on innovation and product leadership as Workday enters its fiscal year 2027. As co-founder and long-time leader, his extensive experience with the company’s evolution gives him unique insight into both its heritage and future priorities. With key challenges ahead — including navigating competitive AI trends, global market dynamics, and evolving customer needs — Bhusri’s leadership marks a significant pivot for the enterprise software giant as it charts its next chapter.
