Larry Ellison, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Oracle is making Oracles sovereign cloud strategy go faster. This is because governments and companies that have to follow a lot of rules want to have control over their data, security and digital infrastructure. Oracle is becoming a player in the global cloud market especially in places where people are really worried about where their data is stored and national security. Larry Ellison and Oracle are doing this to help governments and companies have control, over their Oracle cloud and data.

The sovereign cloud is a type of cloud that keeps all your data and information in one country. This means that the data is stored, used and controlled in that country. It has to follow the laws and rules of that country.

Oracle is making more of these cloud regions under the leadership of Ellison. These regions are separate from others run by people and safe from other governments trying to access them.

Many organizations like government offices, defense groups, banks and hospitals are very interested, in using the cloud. They like it because it is safe and follows the rules of their country.

Oracle does things differently than big companies. They focus on keeping things separate and independent when it comes to how their systemsre set up and run. Oracle gives people an options for how they can use their services.

  • They have cloud regions that are just for certain countries.
  • They have environments that are only for government use.
  • They also let customers run their cloud infrastructure.

This means that governments can still be in charge of how thingsre run but they can also use Oracles cloud software and other tools, like their database and artificial intelligence capabilities. Oracles cloud software and database leadership and artificial intelligence capabilities are really useful, for governments.

Ellison says Oracle is really good at handling jobs, like big databases and company applications. When governments update their systems Oracle tells them to use their special database that runs on its own and their new cloud-based tools for managing companies. This will help governments move to systems in a safe and reliable way. Oracles plan for a cloud is part of this and it helps customers who have to follow a lot of rules feel safe using Oracles services. Oracle is trying to show that their cloud is a foundation, for digital transformation and that Oracles autonomous database and cloud-native ERP platforms are secure and can handle a lot of work.

Oracle is growing its cloud services in places like Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

These are areas where the government really cares about keeping data safe and secure in their country.

Many countries want to have their cloud services so they can control their own data.

This is part of their plan to be in charge of their digital future and be strong as a nation.

Oracle is happy to make cloud services for specific governments.

This helps Oracle have an advantage over others, in these areas because it can give governments what they want, which is Oracle cloud services.

Oracle is trying to stand out from companies like it. Ellisons plan is to make Oracle different from companies that use the same cloud models everywhere. This means Oracle might not grow fast as some other big cloud companies.. It helps Oracle get important government and business contracts that last a long time. These deals are good for Oracle because they bring in money for years and the money keeps coming in regularly. Oracle gets to keep these customers for a time and that is good, for the company.

Looking ahead, Oracle is expected to integrate advanced AI and analytics capabilities into its sovereign cloud offerings, enabling governments to deploy artificial intelligence while maintaining strict data controls. Ellison’s vision aligns Oracle’s technical strengths with geopolitical and regulatory realities, making sovereign cloud a central pillar of the company’s next phase of cloud growth.
